THE ASK
We were given full creative freedom to visually interpret Dora Malech’s “Working Order” for the Motionpoems Foundation, taking no cues from the poet apart from a singular reading of her work.

WORKING ORDER
Art directors Jordan Lyle and JP Rooney hand-painted every image of this animated incarnation of Dora Malech’s poem “Working Order,” then combined them with 2D and 3D techniques. The resulting two-minute film, created over the course of several months, presents an unpredictable dream-like series of jewel-toned vignettes punching out of inky black.
